Panadol Children Suspension [Orange Flavour]
PANADOL CHILDREN 250MG/5ML provides gentle relief from fever and pain in children 1 years and above. It is also gentle to little stomach. An orange flavoured suspension, it contains no alcohol and is aspirin free.

ACTIVE INGREDIENT:
Each 5ml Suspension contains:
» Paracetamol 250mg
» Methylparaben 0.08% w/v (as preservative)
INDICATIONS:
» Relief of fever, pain & discomfort from colds & flu, toothache, post-vaccination fever & pain
ORAL DOSAGE:
» Dosage calculations: 10-15mg/kg in daily divided doses. Maximum 60mg/kg/day
» May be taken with or without food
12 - 13kg: 3ml
14 - 16kg: 4ml
17 - 19kg: 5ml
20 - 23kg: 6ml
24 - 26kg: 7ml
27 - 29kg: 8ml
30 - 33kg: 9ml
34 - 39kg: 10ml
40 - 42kg: 12ml
» Dosage to be given every 4-6 hourly as required
» Do not exceed 4 doses within 24 hours
» Do not take for more than 3 days without asking your doctor
PRECAUTIONS:
» Do not exceed the recommended dose. The lowest dose necessary to achieve efficacy should be used for the shortest duration of treatment
» Minimum dosing interval is every 4 hourly
» Not recommended for children under 1 month old
» For children under 3 months old, consult a doctor if fever lasted for more than 24 hours (4 doses of Paracetamol). This is to ensure that the fever due to more serious infection is being diagnosed immediately
» Taking too much paracetamol can cause serious harm to the liver. If patient is suspected or overdosed, seek medical attention immediately
» Overdose of paracetamol can cause liver failure which can lead to liver transplantation or death
» Refer to doctor if the children is on warfarin or other coumarins
» Do not give with any other products containing Paracetamol at the same time
ADVERSE REACTIONS:
» Do not take this medicine if allergic to paracetamol or other ingredients in this medicine
» Allergic reactions include redness of the skin, blisters, itching and rashes with breathing difficulties; swollen lips, tongue, throat or face; peeling or mouth ulcers; unexplained bruising or bleeding
» If this reaction occurs, stop using this medication and seek medical help immediately
